Since I can't sleep, let's discuss
Three Rivers as a show.
Lame.
Alex O'Loughlin isn't bad, but he isn't an "Andy Yablonsky". I'm getting a bit tired of all the Brits, Aussies, etc playing Americans. Not all are up to Hugh Laurie's standard. In fact, I'm not sure
any of them are.
I suppose there's backstory to Katherine Moenning's character that I'm not aware of. I do know there's something involving her father and that some think it's remarkably derivative of Meredith Grey. I just found her cold and moderately annoying.
Speaking of "moderately annoying", what's up with Chester the Terrier? By which I mean Ryan Abbot, played by Christopher J. Hanke. I need to find out if my sister, who works as something similar to a transplant coordinator, although with a donor organization rather than a hospital, has anything to say about this show. This character was hopelessly immature for his role. Although mouthing "elementary, my dear Watson" cracked me up no end.
Pam was underused. Maybe she was used adequately for the ep, but I didn't get any sense of who her character was. And did we even see Dr Lisa Reed? I saw the actress' name in the credits, but if she was in the ep, I didn't see her. (Which most likely says worlds about my powers of observation more than anything else.)
Saving the best for last...
Kuol is a wildly unrealistic character, but I love him dearly. I may have to go hunt down the few other things Owiso Odera has done. He was a real gem.
So was Daniel Henney as Dr David Lee. Give this guy a good show, stat!
And Alfre Woodard is always perfection.
Overall, they can go ahead and cancel this one any time. But I'm glad they didn't cancel it before tonight.
